Hello.
Good news, the one day beginners course at Broughton High School on Saturday 15th of March will go ahead. Registration is still open as there are still a couple of places available. Looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday.
About the Course
This is how Paul Strand (1890-1976) defined the art of photography.
"…how you build a picture, what a picture consists of, how shapes are related to each other, how spaces are filled, how the whole thing must have unity."
For me this is about the best definition of composition I've come across and we'll be looking at the 'things' that make up composition as we go through the course. We'll also cover camera controls and settings, exposure and focus and much more. There is also sessions on capturing, managing and manipulating images.
