Hello.
Well here we are. The final class of this session. Tonight is an opportunity for you to ask me questions about what we've covered over the last 14 weeks or anything else you want to ask about photography and cameras. We may also have a look at a few movies. Looking forward to seeing you tonight.
About the Course
This is how Paul Strand (1890-1976) defined the art of photography.
"…how you build a picture, what a picture consists of, how shapes are related to each other, how spaces are filled, how the whole thing must have unity."
For me this is about the best definition of composition I've come across and we'll be looking at the 'things' that make up composition as we go through the course. We'll also cover camera controls and settings, exposure and focus and much more. There is also sessions on capturing, managing and manipulating images.
