3. Camera Controls Practical Session.
Find and identify the buttons, controls and menus and learn how to change settings.

4. Light and Photographic Exposure (Handout 3).
Properties of Light. The Exposure Triangle. Over, Under and Appropriate Exposure. The Light Meter and Metering Modes.

5. Exposure Practical Session.
A chance to experiment with the camera settings that control exposure.

6. An introduction to Manual Mode.
A chance to experiment with Manual Mode and the Sunny f/16 Rule.

7. Photographic Techniques Practical Session.
Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority. Depth of Field.

8. The Art of Photography -Composition 1 (Handout 4).
The Photographic Frame. Guiding Principals, the Rule of Thirds, the Golden Mean and Dynamic Symmetry.

9. The Art of Photography -Composition 2 (Handout 5).
Frame Dynamics and Gestalt Theory.

10. Photography Project.
A visit to the Union Canal, it's boats, wildlife and architecture.

11. Project Review Session.
Your chance to show and discuss your Photographs from the Union Canal.

12. Capturing and Managing Images (Handout 6).
Managing a Photographic Collection. Import, Classify, Manage and Process.

13. Image Processing (Handout 7).
Correcting Exposure, Colour Correction, Cropping, Dodging, Burning and Cloning.

14. Q and A
A final session giving you a chance to ask questions or revisit some of the class lessons.
