Welcome to all students starting the new course tonight 02/02/26. Looking forward to seeing you all.
I've been preparing for the new courses in January with updated Handouts. They will be uploaded to the website each week as each class starts. The Handouts have a new Passcode. If you attended an earlier class and need to download the handouts again please email me and I'll give you the new code.

About the Course
This is how Paul Strand (1890-1976) defined the art of photography.
"…how you build a picture, what a picture consists of, how shapes are related to each other, how spaces are filled, how the whole thing must have unity."
For me this is about the best definition of composition I've come across and we'll be looking at the 'things' that make up composition as we go through the course. We'll also cover camera controls and settings, exposure and focus and much more. There is also sessions on capturing, managing and manipulating images.
