Hello.
That's the 10 week course finished for another term. Thanks to all who attended. I enjoyed teaching the course and I hope you enjoyed it too.
I'm working on a new 5 week course starting late April.
I have uploaded a new Resource called Photographic Resources on the Web. If you have already downloaded the original one please download again as this new one has been updated.
The new class Handouts have been updated and have a new Passcode. If you attended an earlier class and need to download the handouts again please email me and I'll give you the new code.
About the Course
This is how Paul Strand (1890-1976) defined the art of photography.
"…how you build a picture, what a picture consists of, how shapes are related to each other, how spaces are filled, how the whole thing must have unity."
For me this is about the best definition of composition I've come across and we'll be looking at the 'things' that make up composition as we go through the course. We'll also cover camera controls and settings, exposure and focus and much more. There is also sessions on capturing, managing and manipulating images.
