Hello.
This weeks class will be a practical session. We'll look at Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority. See you all on Monday. I have also uploaded the Photographic Project Handout which offers some suggestions for a range of photographic exercises with camera settings you can experiment with.
The new Handouts have been updated and have a new Passcode. If you attended an earlier class and need to download the handouts again please email me and I'll give you the new code.
About the Course
This is how Paul Strand (1890-1976) defined the art of photography.
"…how you build a picture, what a picture consists of, how shapes are related to each other, how spaces are filled, how the whole thing must have unity."
For me this is about the best definition of composition I've come across and we'll be looking at the 'things' that make up composition as we go through the course. We'll also cover camera controls and settings, exposure and focus and much more. There is also sessions on capturing, managing and manipulating images.
