The Project handout is now available for download. The examples are just suggestions. If you want to try other things please feel free to do so. We'll look at all the photos in week 9 so get them to me before then if you can so that I can prepare for the class.

Thanks to all the students who came to the one day class at Broughton High School last Saturday. I really enjoyed the class. The final handout will be available later this week as will as the Cheat Sheets I promised. Let me know if you have any problems.
About the Course
This is how Paul Strand (1890-1976) defined the art of photography.
"…how you build a picture, what a picture consists of, how shapes are related to each other, how spaces are filled, how the whole thing must have unity."
For me this is about the best definition of composition I've come across and we'll be looking at the 'things' that make up composition as we go through the course. We'll also cover camera controls and settings, exposure and focus and much more. There is also sessions on capturing, managing and manipulating images.
